Environmental Profiles of Community Health: Interactive Map from the Canadian Alliance for Health Hearts and Minds study
As part of the Canadian Alliance for Healthy Hearts and Minds (CAHHM) study, we collected data from communities across Canada and assembled it into an online interactive map. The map contains data about connectivity, as well as food, tobacco and alcohol availability and price.

Video: The Rise in Cardiovascular Risk Factors and Chronic Diseases in Guyana
Loshana Sockalingam (a recent MSc graduate from McMaster University) presented at the 14th Guyana Medical Research Conference (GMRC 2022) organized by the Institute of Health Sciences Education, Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. Loshana’s presentation is based on her paper “The Rise in Cardiovascular Risk Factors and Chronic Diseases in Guyana: A Narrative Review” (Annals of Global Health, 2021). This presentation discusses the main modifiable risk factors that have led to an increased prevalence and burden of cardiovascular disease, as well as focuses on strategies to curb the cardiovascular disease epidemic in Guyana.
