Lecture Title: Perspectives on Uncovering Triggers of Acute Perinatal Outcomes: An Epidemiological and Molecular Approach

As a renowned epidemiologist, an award-winning educator and a widely recognized academic leader, Dr. Williams research places special emphasis in the areas of reproductive, perinatal, pediatric and molecular epidemiology. This lecture will take a deep dive into the unique methodological challenges of reproductive and perinatal epidemiology and explore epidemiological designs and molecular epidemiological approaches. Dr. Williams will discuss these innovative approaches and highlight how they can be used to address methodological challenges to improve causal inferences in studies of medical complications of pregnancy and adverse birth outcomes.
