Dr. John Ioannidis, C. R. Rehnborg chair in Disease Prevention at Stanford University and professor of medicine and health research and policy, presents a lecture titled Improving Research Practices: A Global Challenge. In his talk, Ioannidis surveys the current status of research practices, examining how these affect the utility of scientific research in biomedicine and beyond. He also explores the pros and cons of suggestions that have been made for improvements, taking into account the current and future global landscape of research.
